Charles McCaffrey is a Navy Veteran with 30 years of military, government contracting and small business experience. He is also a serial entrepreneur, instructor, mentor and ardent supporter of the military community. Charles joined Community Business Partnership in 2012 and served as Director of the Business Incubation Center (2012-2013) and Director of the South Fairfax Small Business Development Center (2013-2015) before being named as Director of the Veterans Business Outreach Center from 2015 to 2019. He is a highly sought-after speaker and storyteller. Charles has a B.S. in History, Technology and Society from Georgia Tech, an M.S. in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, and an MBA from George Mason University. He is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Fairfax Institute (LFI) and is working towards his PhD in Socioeconomics. And in 2016, he was named Boots to Business Instructor of the Year; and the VBOC at Community Business Partnership was named the Veteran Business Center of Excellence by the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2018.
Jessica Norsky has a dedicated history of serving and advocating for military spouses, families and whichever community currently called “home.” 12 moves and 17 years of military spouse service, Jessica is a firm believer that we can use our own trials to make the path smoother for those we are entrusted and privileged to serve.
Serving in various Air Force positions, including the Commander’s Action Board and Key Spouse Mentor, she has briefed the Second Lady, Mrs. Pence, on the Neighborhood Host Program, a program that builds and fosters community street by street on military installations. Jessica also has served on the Board of Directors for a local school, is the recipient of the 2010 Joan Orr Air Force Spouse Award for the SIDC and is currently a BSA Scoutmaster for Girl Troop 1347.
Jessica graduated with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and received a full academic scholarship to the University of Florida. While earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, she served as a member of Savant Leadership Honorary, Student Senate, member of the Cabinet and a volunteer Crisis Counselor. She later earned a Master of Science in Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Development.
Lauren Holmes Larry is a yoga instructor, wellness professional and home stager. She has been a member of NMSN for nearly 7 years and has successfully moved her business 3 times to three different states. With NMSN, Lauren has been able to maintain stability in her business as a wellness professional while being a military spouse. She’s also successful transitioned her business as her husband has retired from the military. She now resides in San Antonio, TX.
